So you run a car and have a valid licence, but you don't drive all that much. I've just worked out that I drive a total of about 8,000 miles per year. That's everything: work, domestic & holidays.

How do you compare?

I'm likely to drive less than 3,000 miles during this year. The miles that I do drive aren't particularly enjoyable as they will be on poor quality roads in someone else's Mitsubishi Pajero Sport diesel.

About 5000 miles last year. I usually walk to work, and i've knocked going out for a drive 'just for fun' on the head.

Driving is only for fun, road trips and family stuff/the odd errand, I walk to work.

Don't even get to 8000 miles pa in two cars.

My car averages about 6000 miles pa, the OH's less than 1000.

I do more on my (push) bike - knocking on for 2000 mile pa on that.

Have no idea on the total miles I drive, must be around 3500 to 4500 miles. I cycle to work (plus train) each day, don't drive very far at the moment.

My sister has a 9 year old Golf with 39,000 miles on it, or 4,000 a year. I do that in 6 weeks!

My Grandma has a Hyundai something (i10 predecessor) which she's owned since new in 2007. That has around 2700 miles on the clock...in 7 years.

That's ~385 miles/year average; I cover that sort of distance in a day at least a couple of times each week.

I got the MG 3 years ago with 39,000 on the clock, it has just hit 46,000.

However for the last 3 months I have had a 2nd car and done 1800 miles in that.

I've moved house, so gone from well over 20k per year to under 8, which includes a couple of big roadtrips. I either walk or cycle to work these days.
