car faults list to help other people

hi all ,
I was wondering if we could start listing faults that we have experienced with our cars and the fix needed to help others that may experience the same thing?
for example Punto 1.2 16v window wipers stop working, new linkage needed cheap from internet rather than new assembly from fiat, firing on 2 cylinders, prob new coil pack if his doesnt work than new ecu as dodgy coil pack fries it. head gasket failure, well needs repairing!
what do you think hopefully this could be a database to help fellow pistonheads, and applies to all cars owned and cared for.

The information is out there on t'internet before you buy a car but it can sometimes be laborious and time consuming to collate all the sources and anecdotal evidences.
My starter for 10 would be Mondeo TDCI - DMF,Starter,Injectors. Astra CDTI - Inlet manifolds, M32 gearbox/air con condenser/alternator.
Would have to include model year just in case the manufacturers pushed out revised and improved parts.
May be include some kind of "ratio" number so that the quantity of faults can be compared to the number of vehicles of that model sold as you only tend to get aggrieved people posting bad things about cars but it would be a start
