First Frost of the year has shown my battery to be committing suicide, Very very weak attempt at starting.

AA on the way to change...

Anyone else so inflicted?

Our 500 struggled starting last winter, so replaced the battery over the summer and it is fine now. The MR2 has been on the battery conditioner recently too, so hopefully that sould be OK.

Nope, my 12 month old Bosch is just fine, thanks. Started on the first touch of the key.

Previous owner..... Not obvious until compared against new one.

Started fine but the leccie tailgate was temporarily disabled.....

My E Class eats batteries - too much sitting around on the drive being periodically unlocked and locked. Each time you do it kicks off 20-odd processors, all greedily munching away on the charge, getting ready for being fired up. Which then doesn't happen.

Unless it's being constantly topped up the battery hates it.

Ah, right, timely topic;

my honda civic was a slow cranker this morning, took a few turns to fire up (but it did fire). So I;m thinking I might get the battery load-tested and see if it needs swapping!

If you need a new battery - just visit your local car breaker.
They usually have serviceable batteries for around £15 - try to find one with a recent 'charge by' date stamp and you're quids in. Better than paying >£50 right?
My last one lasted 6 years. Current one is still going strong after a year in service.

Yep, my battery is 12 years old, the crank was slow this morning and the central locking was firing randomly, definitely need a new one.

£136. In my case I'd sooner have a car that I am reasonably confident is going to start at 6AM. A lost day pissing about will cost me a lot more.

Euro Car Parts via eBay is the cheapest for Bosch Silver batteries I've seen - click and collect at their stores too

Mine was great this morning. Last time I checked it was 720CCA. A drop from 750 new is not too bad for over 15 years of service. I may check the fluid levels to try and find the other 30A.

This time last year the battery on my E36 started to die. Tbf, it was the original BMW item from 1998 so it lasted pretty ruddy well. Replaced with a Bosch Silver which I'm very happy with.
