That article is now 18 months old, to be honest I took it with a pinch of salt at the time.

Is it still relevant now I wonder, personally, I have my doubts.

I remember reading somwhere that every time there is a sandstorm all the parked cars get covered in dust until the owners clean the dust off next time they want to use them. Apparently people sometimes take photos of them before the dust is cleaned off, and post them on the internet in articles about abandoned cars.
