Anyone got one of these obscure Scandinavian mopeds?

I noticed this picture:


A bit more googling and I find out:
"flakmoppe" (also known as a flakmopped or flakmoped). The one above is "a Crescent/Monark 1189, probably from mid 70's."

Anyone know anything about them, I'm guessing they have only been available in Scandinavia, anyone got one or know any history about them?

Used to be loads about when I was growing up. Invariably piloted by either an old overall-and-clog wearing codger with a drinking problem, or a slightly 'edgy' country lad ferrying his under-age girlfriend and illegal booze around.

Simpler times...

EDIT: Sweden, BTW. Not sure if they were ever popular elsewhere.

Well they run a typical SOHC Honda 90 type engine so spares won't be an issue for that, get one and throw the Takegawa catalogue at it.

Not one of those, but someone gave me one of these, an attempt to kill me. Corner with any degree of enthusiasm, the engine grounded and it tripped over.
