This thread makes me sad.

Please tell me that will be repaired, and not written off.

Shame, but it'll get fixed. What did the taxi driver do about leaving details? I assume the owner wasn't in/around the Lambo when it happened?

Surely if you had a Countach you wouldn't leave it in the normal airport parking?

Will there be shared liability as the rear wheel is outside of the parking space....

Looks fine to me, I'd be parking with a quarter of a tyre on the line too, it's a wide car and you don't want dings on the other side from Mr. 'It's only a car' who'll park next to you.

What you'd do, and what others might do & their justification may not have much sway when it comes to an insurance company trying to wiggle out of making a full payment.

EDIT: I'd also park like that BTW.

EDIT - There is "VIP" parking in Edinburgh, but I've never used it, I'd like to hope this gets fixed.

In a way there's a demonstration why you shouldn't use valet parking.

Yes I know that there is no evidence that valet parking was involved here but that's just the sort of spot that you risk having your P&J left in by a 3rd party. If you park it yourself you can pick a spot where it isn't exposed on all sides, especially a corner spot at a junction.

I wouldn't have left a snotter there tbh.

Regularly see v expensive motors parked exposed like that by the valets at T5 Heathrow for example. Yet I'm tucked away in a corner away from everything.

some people are clearly mental this morning

of course it will be repaired
it's a £200k+ car with a damaged fibre glass bumper

of course it won't be shared liability if the car was parked and stationary, it doesn't really matter if it was inside the line, outside the line, or parked in the middle of the road blocking a kitten rescue truck from getting out, it's the other drivers fault, it would need to be a very very odd situation for that to ever not be the case.

I'd forgotten how ugly they are, they haven't aged well. This particular one especially.
