Buying a new car that's been on display
Discussion
Are there any disadvantages to buying a new car that's been on display in a main dealer showroom for 3 or 4 weeks but has never been driven, other than 6 miles for delivery?
The obvious thing I can think of is that it would have had people climb in and out it and poke and prod it.
On the other side of the coin are there any advantages?
It's not been exposed to the elements and it probably got shined up a few times?
I'm not really clued up about this so would be very grateful for opinions.
Many thanks in advance.

My mum's Octavia was the display model, it had been in there around 6 months before we got it. No marks on the inside or out and has done 35k trouble free in the 2 years since. Did the same for the previous car; when the current Astra came out we had the display car about 1 month later. As mentioned there's a healthy discount to be had and a very short wait after purchase to collect it, makes sense to me.
