Are any of your neighbours into cars?

On the right I have an elderly lady who has a k11 Nissan Micra but on the left there is a Lotus Elise and a Porsche 944. On the same street there is a guy with a Austin 1100 and a MG 1300 and a guy with a very nice Vauxhall Viva.

Until a few months ago me and my brother and one neighbour who has a VXR8 were the only people who appear to have any interest in cars.

Then a new neighbour moved in, first off he was borrowing a few tools to repair his quad bike which is his daily transport. Then he turned up with a Toyota Surf that's about 10feet tall which was soon broken up/scrapped. At the weekend he knocked on my door and asked if he could swap parking spaces with me as he didn't think his new vehicle would fit into the space.

No worries I said, so moved my project Golf (which does look rather st at the moment as it has no wings on it and is midway through an extensive weldathon) into the corner of the car park. An hour later his new vehicle arrives.....he has just bought a UNIMOG!!!!!!!!!

fkING BRILLIANT!!!!! now it gives the neighbours something far bigger and far rustier to moan about other than my Golf.

I don't have any neighbours per se but one of the nearest houses is about 3/4 mile away and belongs to a colleague who loves motorcycle racing and is building a Mev Rocket kit car just now.

He can usually hear when I gun the Cerbera up the road which can't be closer than 1/2 mile from his at its nearest point when he's out in the garage working on his car.

He sometimes sends me a message to tell me it's sounding rough laugh

Yep, another chap with a kit car a few doors down, and a couple of others who used to race. Not long ago we also had a serial mini rebuilder as well.
Nothing as flash as F1 number 1 though smile

Not direct neighbours but a guy up my road has a Ferrari 360. Then over the road there's 599, next to him is someone with an RS4.
Round the corner from me is a guy with a 147 GTA and next door to him a modified Seat Ibiza.

Sadly my immediate neighbours don't have the slightest interest in cars so I always feel bad when I start the 156 up at 7 oclock to go or returning from nights at the same time frown

One of my neighbours has a very, very nice Impreza Turbo 2000. I'm not sure what's been done to it but it's always spotless. Whether you'd say that qualifies as a petrolhead neighbour or just someone passionate about their car, a standard Turbo 2000 is a rare breed.

No, not even close.

The chap who is now over the road has a few bikes though.

I have a guy 3 doors down with an R32 Golf. I see him pop to the shop in it most days. The shop is less than 250 meters away. hehe

I thought not, but since I bought my 33 year old Mercedes 500 SEL I have had 4 neighbours approach me and start chatting about how cool it is :-)

Not everyone who likes cars has a car worth liking :-)

I'm in a apartment flat so have a slightly bigger car park to draw from. There's an F-Type, a new shape 'Vette, an R8, two Elises, a V12 XJS, a VX200 (under a dust cover) and a 328 (also hibernating) downstairs among the more humdrum stuff.
