Insurance and 50/50 claims
Discussion
Im sure we have all seen people posting on here about claims where it appears the blame to be totally 1 sided yet insurance company's trying for 50/50.
Today I was talking to an old chap who is a chauffeur for the company I work for. We were driving along and his in car camera started beeping and he mentioned it indicates the memory is full or something to that affect, anyway we got talking about them and the shenanigans that go on these days with crash for cash etc.
He told me of a tale where it helped him where he was parked up at a roundabout a woman scraped the side of his car as she thought the wagon next to her was drifting over.
Anyway they both pulled over and exchanged details and she said she had never had an accident in 30 years and was asking him what they need to do. He told her to tell her insurers what happened as she admitted full liability and was full of apologies. She then went on to ask him what she should tell them to which he replied the truth
She then said she would email her chain of events/witness statement to both him and the insurer. A few days passed and sure enough he gets her email admitting liability and a very accurate chain of events. His insurer got intouch after that claiming they wanted to go 50/50 at which point he said he has seen her statement admitting full liability and he has in car footage backing up said statement. They then said they would have another look and a few days passed again with them coming back again advising that he was correct and that she did admit full liability.
Now we hear all the time of these instances and I always thought it was the other party playing funny buggers but it appears the insurance companys are at it as well.
Anybody else had a similar experience?
