Hi all,

Just bought a car with only green slip part of the logbook, am i right by going to the post office in the morning and getting a V62 to apply for a new logbook? Previous keeper said he would forward me it on but id rather apply for one just for piece of mind.

Thanks

What happened to the rest of the V5C? you're supposed to put the new owner's details on it, sign it and have the previous owner post it to the DVLA...

He had done that when he bought car, he's waiting for the logbook to come back in his name. Ive got the green slip side of logbook though along with the traders part and export part

So he gets a new green slip with his new log book, making your green slip obsolete.

Don't tax the car using the current green slip!
