Anybody never owner a car with a turbo?
Discussion
When I started working at my current job one of the lads had an Astra GSI in silver that we truncated to 'the Astra Turbo'. Those were the days, and that wasn't a bad car either. You never really hear anyone talk about them these days, but I suppose their contemporaries were just better.
My current 335i is my first turbo. It's not as sharp as the NAs that preceeded it (Z4M, Z4C, Integra Type R etc) but if you ignore the time-to-torque (what people call lag) issue the big fat torque curve is lovely.
Whoooooooooooosh. And the small chirps from the wastegates and recirc system are delightful with the windows down.

Been driving for 13 years and never owned a turbo, all my cars have been NA petrols.
VTEC is where it is at
Similar to me. Passed my test in '92 and never had anything other than NA petrol cars. Most of mine have been 6 pots too. I've driven plenty of turbo cars but I just prefer the power delivery of NA engines. I had a VTEC once and I loved the fact that if you wanted to get anywhere, you actually had to use the gears and drive it. Much more satisfying to me. VTEC is where it is at

Driven plenty of turbo-diesels (even passed my test in one!) and definitely not a fan. I can't think that I've actually driven a turbo petrol though
