Has anyone heard of 566 stop/tail bulbs being manufactured wrongly as I am 100% positive this is the case. These are offset pins so you can't insert wrongly unless you are stupid. The filaments appear to be working the wrong way round as in the lower wattage working on brake and the 21 watt with lights. Bought 20 cheap from amazon, tried a few and all the same. Seller denies anything wrong with bulbs as he has sold thousands with no complaints. Says I've ordered wrong bulbs. Finally bought same type 566 bulb from service station and guess what it works perfect. Love to hear from someone who's had same problem.

It is always nice to introduce yourself...

Are those not just 380's but with a lower output? 380's were 21/5 from memory.

Yes, 21/4 watt and pins are staggered. It's a strange one, never had bulb problems before.
