A year and a half a go we got a 2004 2.5 turbo (petrol) auto AWD Volvo V70. FVSH, 80k, mint, years tax and brand new all-season tyres all round. £2750. Every gizmo works, not a spot of rust.
It appears to have every extra (TV, phone, nav, leather, dual zone climate, heated seats, fold down dog guard, sunroof, auto wipers, parking sensors, cruise, blah blah). Very nice place to be on a long trip. Goes well in a straight line but a bit boaty round the bends. Fantastic car.

Lots of e39 5 series within that budget. Still a benchmark car in the saloon large segment. Incredibly comfortable, fantastic steering in the case of the 6 cylinder models a great chassis and plenty of toys. Lots have high miles but most cars of this ilk have been well serviced.
Yep they're brilliant cars. My friends and family, who mainly drive around in fairly new fietas/fabias etc were genuinely shocked when I told them my mint, 68k 530i cost about half what they paid for their tinny hatchbacks.Edited by lufbramatt on Monday 17th November 18:32

A lexus GS or LS no good? I always thought the japanese cars tended to have more gadgets in them and BMWs tended to have less.
Nice cars ive driven a GS and it was nice but I noticed the interior plastics seemed to creak and rattle.Could have just been this particular car though. daemon said:
Love that enormously but the bork factor with regards to the auto gearbox is high with the S type isnt it ?Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
