Rubbish classic RR are on the rise, a non rot box will set you back at least 5k, I imagine this with it's history some what more. How much, well as much as some one is willing to pay!

A good Range Rover of this generation will be 10k minimum now - they were nudging 10k a few years ago. Anyone who says it's worth 3k is way off. However, £55,000?! Not a chance, not even at half that. Never.

Slightly sensationalist Bravo Two Zero advert said:
This is a very special and unique classic Range Rover which even had it's own Chinook helicopter on standby when in service!
Ball cocks.
There may or may not have been/be a Chinook (or two) on standby for national security related call outs, but not dedicated to one vehicle.
And yeah it's had a few mods, but nothing that isn't pretty much off-the-shelf. It's not like Q-branch have tweaked it. Still, I guess some knob end from the City will spunk part of their Crimbo bonus on it and tell Dom and Tarqs down the squash club that Andy McNab drove Lewis Collins to the Iranian Embassy in it.

I can't help visualising the two off-roaders from the Fast Show "Let's Offroad!"

Now that is special. It's the same colour as the boat house at Hereford.

55 grand, really, on what planet, obviously worth something being a very nice, straight example with an interesting history but 55 grand for an old Range Rover, would be suprised if it went for anything even half of that.

Very cool! Love Classic Rangies; just a shame about the rust.

So it's a old Range Rover with a roll cage, some flashing lights and a gun rack. I think I'll pass on it.

Why would you have a rolly polly range rover as a rapid response car?

Wouldn't a fast estate handle better?

For all the kit they carry not just inside but also on the bonnet and roof as required. Plus the off-road capability.

If the cars based in London where would they go off roading?

I wondered if it was just to knock other cars out the way , but surely a transit could carry lots of men/kit, handle better , go faster?
