Hi , I have just joined the forum after a long time lurking .
an ex 911T /RS rep owner but still have an Austin Healey 100 in the garage .

I have a question which is SORN related and maybe a little unusual but here goes anyway:

I moved out to Greece in 2006 and brought my Toyota van loaded with my tools / stuff,
I sorned it for 2 years until 2008 then the logbook V5 went awol , and it was not allowed to have sorn again.
Now I need to return to England in December to do some work and want to use bring back and use the van there
for 2 /3 months .
After reading some of the posts relating to the DVLA I am wondering if what I am planning is going to
be classed as a hanging offence ?
I am thinking of applying for a new V5c and booking an mot so as to get the van "home "
then taxing it as normal .
Has anyone been down this strange road ??

After eight years of sitting unused, will the van be up to such a long trip back...?

Who says it's been sitting around unused for eight years?

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming it hadn't been being used illegally for the last eight years. <shrug>
