A folder? for paperwork? You know, like other normal paperwork stuff?

Frame them all and hang them on the garage wall?

For a car as special as that I'd suggest that you maybe rent out a storage unit and put a filing cabinet inside it, then inside that filing cabinet put a folder, and then inside that folder put a clear sleeve, then inside that clear sleeve put the service history and paperwork.

Worst I've just bought a GT3 RS thread ever.

GT86 is my pride and joy so the paperwork is stored in a nice neat Toyota branded folder that was presented to me when I bought it.

The X-Trail is our workhorse we bought last year, so it's paperwork is stuffed into single A4 document wallet which is almost bursting. I need to get it out and organise it properly at some point tongue out

On top of all the paperwork and receipts / invoices I keep a spreadsheet of mileages against dates and the work carried out. I also sometimes add fuel consumption figures.

Yes, I do have a GF and other friends. Not many.

Yes I'm well aware of files etc but was wondering of a more novel way to showcase/store the service history for a car that I cherish......

Just putting it out there - may be OTT but whats the harm in asking !

Look. I'll do a deal with you. I'll tell you how to super organise your paperwork, if, while you're doing it, I can do what you should be doing, giving the porky a thourgh thrashing around the coutryside. DEAL ?

Is what I suggested not novel enough? You could always build an extension on your home and create a Porsche 911 GT3 RS shrine? Why have you removed GT3 RS from your op now?

I didn't intend this to be an 'I've got a new RS' post, so I modified it after someone had a pop at it above.

Oh ok, why do you quote posts the wrong way round? I.e put your reply and then the post you are replying to after it's rather odd. In all seriousness I'm not sure what you are expecting to do with it really. The best you can ever really give a piece of paper you cherish is framing it IMO.

In a folder, in chronological order. Service history first, MOT documents (again, chronological order) come at the back.

+1

Previously had an A4 folder, plus a pack of dividers.
One section for service receipts, one for maintenance bills (tyres, oil and parts), one MOT and one for tax.

Difference made on an 8 year old Toyota value at trade in time - zero wink

Always in a 4 ring binder for me, with everything laminated - MOTs followed by all other receipts in chronological order, makes find everything easy and is always is a deal clincher when it comes to sale time - people see nicely arranged / organised paperwork and it gives them reassurance
