Still road side average speed camera with no obvious 50mph or "camera out of use" signs. Suddenly noticed the camera whilst on cruise at 70mph. Cue sudden braking and watching my rear view as all the vehicles in all lanes also decided they weren't sure.

Then I passed a variable speed gantry and the car in front gets flashed even though travelling at 60 odd and signs not lit.

So spent the entire distance to next junction not entirely sure of speed limit, when could have been concentrating on driving safely instead.

AARRGGHHHH.

The cabling for the average speed cameras is still strung along the side of the embankment, so looks like awaiting to be decommissioned.

Gantry I'm fine with. Though it seems the majority ignore the variable limit.

My issue was that once I noticed the roadside camera I wasn't sure if I had missed the speed limit signs. Plus there were some cones on the verge.

Have same issue coming upto the Dartford tunnel. The start of the 60mph section is easy to miss.

Then hole area is a mess, drivers spend more time looking for cameras and limits than concentrating on driving.
