Its all my fault in naively giving my number out in the past without a second thought but am really fed up with the number of uninvited calls phone(the "buy solar panels" one whilst at a Greek taverna in Greece this summer was great - the b panels have been on my b roof over 4 years but still they call...mad) so, unless I know and trust the company, I rarely give my number out any more. And don't talk about TPS - ineffective self policing at its worst. Cold calling companies increasingly also just operate from abroad or fold and restart to get around any potential issues too.

What are others' thoughts? And why cant it just state simply and upfront by the online form 'tel no' box (like some decent companies do) 'we wont use your number to annoy you in any way during your working day drivingor at Tavernas yumor during Strictly etc'!irked

PS Here's a handy link when the online form says 'no': http://fakenumber.org/uk/london Dr Who use it I believe ;-)
