Presumably you can use one of the FX companies (or your high street bank even?) and pre-setup the transaction and then, once you're happy with it, make a phone call to commence the transaction? I guess the only question would be whether the vendor can see the money appearing in their account immediately.

This does seem the most reasonable option

Alternatively do a bank transfer when your there.
