A4 (B7) CVT Box, Key wont come out ingnition.

I've got an A4 with 75k on the clock and a CVT Automatic gear box.
For the last 2 days now (since its got very cold) I sometimes cant remove the key from the ignition. The button on the side of the gear lever doesn't release fully, a couple of time a quick nudge and it pops out but a couple of times it wont release so I've gone out for a long drive which seems to help.
Help please.

Get a can of silicone spray, spray liberally into the gap between the button and the gearknob and press lots until it returns to normal operating action.

Toolstation or similar sell the spray for £3 or so.

Also works wonders on cup holders, ashtrays etc =)

Thanks Jimmy, I think its being mechanically held back. Once in gear the button goes in and out fine. It just wont return when you put it in Park.
