Dear all

Still scratching my head as to what to get next.An estate may suffice or maybe a 4x4.Your help much appreciated.I need something that will take me to work and back on a daily basis and that can be used for family hols. There are only three of us plus two small terrier type dogs.I cover less than 10,000mls per year. Some other thoughts.

A few toys would be nice
A half decent stereo
Comfort
Some refinement would be nice
If it had a modicum of drivability this would also be nice

And I would like all of this for the princely sum of 2.5k getmecoat

Ladies & gentlemen do your worst or best however you look at it.As ever your time & efforts are greatly appreciated.

Subarus run to high mileage so take a look at an Outback or Legacy.

4x4's are for off road if you're not going off road, estate all the way.

See if you can rent/borrow/test drive a few and decide from there what suits your driving/lifestyle the most.

Your going to get 50/50 answers on here, it really is a matter of personal opinion

Interesting response and I hoped it would come up as the Outback & Legend seem very well regarded.

None of your needs requires a 4x4. Get an estate. Lighter, faster, nicer to drive, better economy.

Easier said than done im afraid. My driving style varies from pootling to the occasional thrash but that rarely happens unless im on my own and in the mood.Good thought though thanks.

Thats a beauty and I doubt I would be disappointed with it.For some reason though it doesnt make me want to rush out and buy it.I cant explain why though ?
