Scrapping, SORN & Tax Refund

Hi all,

I'd like to claim a tax refund (for 3 months) on a car that I'd also like to scrap.

Can anyone confirm if it's possible to get a tax refund without SORN, as I read I shouldn't SORN if I am going to scrap the car.

Think of SORN as being one of three answers to the "Is it taxed?" question - "Yes, it's taxed", "No, it's SORNed", "No, I'm waiting for a fine from DVLA"...

If it goes straight from tax to scrap, you should automatically get a refund, same as selling a taxed car.
