What I'd like is vibrant pearl red DS5, with cream interior. Unfortunately Citroen only do white, black, a mixture of grey and a blue. Then you have interior choices, nowadays cream interiors are lacking and it's a struggle to find them on most cars. IMO black/grey interiors are mainstream and dull. Very much looking forward to when cream/lighter coloured interiors come back into fashion and the sales brochures.

Wife has a 2001 Liquid Yellow (BMW code 902) (and Black) Mini. All manufacturers should have this colour as a option.

If anyone knows where I can get a second hand bonnet in that colour, I'll have Christmas sorted.

I looked at Audi's site the other day as I was day dreaming about an A4 Avant 3.0d Quattro - do they really only sell them in light grey, dark grey, metallic grey and grey grey? Oh and black (very dark grey).

It was frankly depressing how fking boring and uninspiring they were - I had flashbacks of Bluetooth headsets at the breakfast table, PowerPoint displays, wky buzz words and pointless acronyms.

Too damm right.

Years ago I had a few silver cars when silver was no more common or uncommon than most other colours. Now though i'm almost at a stage where I can't stand silver or grey cars in less they have a contrasting bright interior.

Recently I've been thinking of getting a new daily and quite fancy a bright coloured car so I've looked at bright red Impreza wagons & red BMWs which are few and far between and yet in my opinion look bloody wonderful especially with dark coloured interiors but also things like grey BMWs with the blackberry leathers are particularly appealing to.

Or maybe i'm strange and in fact colour blind.

I'm glad I got out of a silver Passat and into a Calypso Red BMW. Do they still do this colour?

Interior to be colour coded with exterior like on 1950s american cars. Anything but black leather seats and dash.

Ford do some decent exterior colours, I've got fiesta in candy blue and still think its looks really good, although my previous cars were silver and black.. Pretty much all new car interiors are dreary I'll agree, except the fist 500. I'd never by one but they're pretty quirky with all their colour schemes, don't think I've ever seen a silver one with a grey interior!

I was staggered to discover recently that the new Mercedes C Class in SE spec cannot be specified with real leather (only the standard fake leather) and you can only have black seats!

Sport and AMG have coloured real leather as an option.

Weird.

Three versions of blue, three of bright red, brown(!!) and two of white according to the configurator.

And five versions of grey. biggrin

2-2.5K and they'll paint it pretty much any colour you want.

Bit on the steep side though.

Perhaps not quite on the same level as colour combinations, but I find it quite sad that manufacturers are dropping wood trim in favour of that brushed aluminium stuff.

Although I am probably in the minority with that one tongue out

I agree, Volvo do a nice range and I think you might still be able to spec wood trims aswell which I think look quite smart on their floating dash designs.

A bit of a marmite colour but one of the (many) reasons I bought one. Stunning in the sun.

I came across this too lately as I can't choose the AMG option since it only comes with an over 2000cc engine option (due to our company car policy), the sport doesn't appear on our on line configurator either. I looked at getting the SE C200D and adding the options, but the colour choices and trim weren't very exciting, worse was the Co2 figure was much higher than the C220D.

Not much better colour choices for the Audi A6 that I'll probably end up with either. Various shades of silver/grey/black and the only blues are dark and dull looking IMHO. You can choose a different colour interior from black, but it's either a very industrial looking grey or a shade of brown that I haven't seen since my son was still wearing nappies. wink

I know they try to play safe and not have anything too off the wall (possibly more restricted by my firm's lease deal too) but it's not surprising you see so many silver cars around. Given the high extra cost of the 'individual' type colours that doesn't seem such a good trade off compared to choosing a better spec'd car in a more boring colour.
