I'm looking for advice. I'm keeping this factual, as I am aware of the defamation rules.

I bought one of the new C4 Grand Picassos in February. It immediately had problems with the audio system, causing regular reboots of the whole system when using the SatNav. I was notified this would be fixed with software updates. They didn't fix it - in fact they made it worse, introducing more faults with the Bluetooth and audio reception. Then more faults started appearing - e.g. all the steering wheel controls failed; the adaptive cruise control wouldn't work some of the time. After helping get some diagnostic information from the audio system, they replaced that with no improvement. I eventually logged approximately 20 different failures, culminating in the whole instrument panel failing.

I rejected the car. After a lot of arguing, Citroen agreed to replace the whole car with a new one. Result. That took over two months...

The new one was delivered faulty. The instrument display was broken, along with a few other minor build faults. The dealer took it back and fixed (most of) those. Then the reboots happened again. And the random failures. The car went back again after just 800 miles. That was on October 8th, with the agreement that they would arrange a proper manufacturer inspection. It took Citroen 7 weeks to actually do this inspection, and today I was told "there's nothing wrong".

I now have a choice - they offered me approximately £2,000 just to abandon the car. Including deposit, trade-in and monthly payments, I've already paid £8,300, so that's hardly an option. Or, I can take the car back and the problems are mine, as they say nothing is wrong.

In the ten months I've had this car (or cars...), I've been in hire/courtesy cars for over half the time (and that's the only reason they've offered me as much as £2,000 - to compensate me for five months not being in the car I paid for).

Options? I guess I can take it court and try to get all my money back.

Fed up.
