Is there or has there ever been a mass produced 4/5 door convertible?

I'm assuming there must be engineering constraints? Or not?

It's been done, but it's quite hard to get any sort of structural integrity or side impact protection.

There are often many compromises when converting a regular car to a 2 door convertible. With 4 doors, it must be almost impossible..

I can think of Lincoln Continental and off road stuff like Wrangler Unlimited..

The head protection wasn't up to much in those either.

Mass produced? Don't think so, off the top of my head.

Maybach did one but that was quite exclusive, and more of a targa.

I don't think these Cad's were showroom, were they?

That's all i've got.

Nope, not factory built.

There were plenty of pre-WW2 four door mass produced convertibles, because they were seperate chassis/body construction - so dead easy.
