KTM X-Bow GT4 new details

Reiter Engineering confirms 320hp and styling for X-Bow GT4

Well this is different! Anyone expecting the new GT4-spec KTM X-Bow to resemble the standard car in any aspect will be surprised. Or perhaps shocked. The image above is a rendering of the new racer ahead of a full reveal soon; there won't be any mistaking it!

That full debut remains a little way off but it has been confirmed the GT4 will make "approximately 320hp" from the VW 2.0-litre turbo with a Holinger sequential gearbox. A kerbweight will be tailored to the FIA Balance of Performance rules.

A price for the GT4 hasn't been confirmed by Reiter has stated it will be "exceptionally good value for money" given the technology and performance. The next we'll see of the X-Bow GT4 will be the SRO Motorsports series test in 2015, where we expect a full spec to be confirmed.

Impressively ugly but I guess it's a racing car so looks weren't high on the list of priorities. It'll be interesting to see how it does.

I raced on of these in BGT when they first came out and the only thing wrong with it was the awful VW gearbox - fixed - and the terrible straight line speed deficit due to the drag - looks fixed via the roof and refined aero. This will be one quick car in GT 4 . Fantastic apex speeds in quick corners due to the downforce. Who cares what it looks like!!!
