He's got a point though. There's nowhere near as many cars on here compared to autotrader.
PH has a far greater collection of interesting/ unusual cars. A/T is fine for white goods cars.Car&classic, motorsportads, and retrorides also have good classifieds sections depending on what you're after.

PH used to be great for used cars as it was very responsive and have a bigger pool of cars compared to the rivals. However recently with all the increased adverts on PH I find AT a more enjoyable experience.
Depends what he's looking for, but he hasn't let us into that little secret yetMany people use PH rather than AT so well worth a look here of course for a broader visibility of what's on offer. Private sellers in particular seem to use here if they are a bit weird / old fashioned / OCD and tight like me. I have sold my last 4 cars privately through PH, and it's still free.

But it has to be fairly rare before that's the case. If you're into the more common interesting cars (if that makes sense, think most Porsche's, M cars, AMG etc.) then autotrader still tends to have a broader selection.Car&classic, motorsportads, and retrorides also have good classifieds sections depending on what you're after.
For example, M3 saloons of any variant-
