I'm waiting on a logbook to come through for my car. I've got somebody interested in buying it but he's worried he won't be able to tax it without the full logbook. Can you still tax it online or at a post office if you've only got the gene keepers green slip like you used to be able to?

Yes, you can still tax it online or at the post office with the new keeper's slip.

No, because as soon as you tax it then register a further new keeper the tax will be refunded to you and the new keeper will have to tax it again.

He needs to tax it from the new keeper slip from the V5 you're waiting for.

No way around it.

Stop trading cars from home whilst masquerading as a private seller.

Not buying a car that doesn't have the V5C is the best way around it.

Yep. No way around it. He will have to wait until the book comes back in your name and buy it then.
