Amazes me how new a car you can get for 2 grand even oil burners

Also amazes me how much older you have to go to counter the VAG tax applied

OP - I can't lend you any money wink

Forget the Audi, I'd go for the Seat or the Focus.

For models I normally use a parts finder website or RAC vehicle check service

RAC comes back as no data

Euro car parts returns a 2002 year Seat Toledo???

I'd ask the garage to email you a scan of the reg doc

This is original message from car service:

We have this vehicle under this registration coming up as a seat tolodeo not the seat leon and the system is also saying the chasis is incorrect you may want to confirm some details on this before you go ahead and buy this vehicle and then i can quote for the correct vehicle.

Very good advice - what's stopping you doing that?

The Seat looks a good call, the 1.9 TDI is generally a solid engine.

The 1.6 TDCI in the Focus is usually trouble, I would steer clear.

The blue one looks a bit chavved, especially with those alloys. My car check says it is a diesel Seat saloon which would be a Toledo. Doesn't look like a Cupra model either (pretty sure they did the 1.9 150 in that spec?).

Definitely the first Seat Leon.
Looks like decent value for money.
Not silly mileage either.
As long as HPI is clear and service history checks out it looks a winner.

OP

You need to check the details on the papers related to the car - make sure that the numbers all match

The following link should help you with understanding UK registration Documents

So does the chassis number (photo on the car) match the details on the registration document?

I can't read the reg doc details because the scan photo isn't high enough resolution

Yes, it match. Now I received ref. nubmer from first Leon and in last mot is this record:
Advisory Notice issued

Steering system has slight free play detected at steering wheel (2.2.A.1b)

Play in steering rack inner joint(s)

How much a repair for this and of course, car don´t have tax, still it is good buy?

You are getting good at this

Can't really advise on that and it could have been rectified after the MOT (I know it's unlikely)

No cars can be sold with tax since legislation changed in October this year

As for if it's a good buy - as other posters have pointed out it's running non std wheels has a hint of chav about it but really that's your decision isn't it?
