Micra 160SR
Panda 100HP
Fiesta Zetec-S

Micra is my favourite out of that lot-great ownership prospect too, speaking as an ex-owner! 45mpg if driven sensibly, cheap insurance and a right hoot to drive, especially if like mine it was on Eibach springs.

They aren't the best looking either.

I've had a 1.5 glx for a couple of years and have been pleased with it. Really easy to work on and reliable.

For the purchase price and likely running costs the swift will be hard to beat.

Mate owns one of those Panda's and likes it.

Quite a lot of car for your money, or re-sale value reflects Italian temperamental and needing attention?

(this IS being harsh on the motor I know)

Micra's rot? Do they? (K12 type) Never had an issue with mine nor others I've seen.

Would it not be a struggle to find a decent Micra 160SR? I can't imagine they sold that many on account of them being so goofy looking.

Yeah, the Twingo seems its equal, but if I was to splash, I'd go Jap

Have had a 100HP for 5 years and 85k miles.. only had one problem (clutch slave cylinder) otherwise it's been solid. Recommended car.

All the 1.8's I went to see were owned by older men. It's the 1.0/1.21.4 that attract that crowd.

To be honest of all the cars mentioned I'd be looking at the Swift sport first.

I had an Ignis Sport and it was awesome on track. Ride comfort is the only thing that I found bad, but that would probably be the case with most of the cars mentioned.
