Curious-
Is remote Start an option in UK.
I assume there is still a law re Motor running in an unattended car, but surely that would not be relevant as the car is still locked and cannot be driven until key is inserted or "fob present".

They are usually only fitted to autos, although the neutral safety wire could always be fitted to the handbrake on a self install.smile

Would be nice to not have scrape the screen on a driveway parked car.

Plenty of alarm companies offer it - not illegal as far as I know when used off a public highway

This was a feature that had a lot of mates shelling out £1000 on clifford alarms when I was younger. I just leave 5 minutes earlier in the colder months, no problem.

ETA - appears to have got much cheaper. Approx £349 fitted http://caraudiosecurity.com/clifford-410-4x-remote...

As said, perfectly legla on private land.

Some argue that it's not very good for engines to be left idling after a cold start.
