Hi i am by choice coming out of my company car scheme, basically the cars on offer are awful. With the BIK saving and the cash alternative i have circa £450 pm to spend but obviously need to insure and maintain the car within that budget. I don't have a large deposit but to be honest wouldn't want to put a deposit down even if i did. i reckon i need £100 pm to tax insure and maintain a car (please let me know if i'm way off mark).So have circa £350 pm for the car. I have had company cars for over 20 years so am clueless when it comes to financing new / nearly new cars. I need a family sized car and am partial to all the bells and whistles. If i need to put a bit towards my budget each month i would for the right car.
Any advice or assistance you can give me would be gratefully received. Any tips on good deals would also be welcome

Are you happy to spend £350 a month every month for 2/3/5 years? The answer to that will give the total budget for a nearly new car.

OK just got a call from Mercedes they have offered me a C350 Sport Premium pack estate for £500 deposit and £469 pm for 3 years. I know its more than i wanted to pay but it is a lot of car. Any thoughts?

Why?

Wouldn't be my 1st choice personally but if you like the Merc and feel it is a good deal go for it, if not have a look on here;

Start having a look here ( mind your eyes )
www.lingscars.com

Many other companies may be cheaper or more expensive.
