Hope I've got this in the right section, I maybe changing my car this week, and my insurance renewal is at the end of January. If I swap cars I'll have to pay a £35 admin charge which isn't a problem. Seeing as I have full no claims (actually about 15 years), if I change insurance company to a cheaper one, would I lose a year due to not completing this year, or would I still have the full 9 years or whatever the maximum amount is? Tia.

Yes but if you already have 15 years then why worry?? You get no extra for 15 years v 16 years

If you don't complete the policy you will not get an additional year added to your NCB.

Given the number of years you have this will make zero difference.

you can only use NCB on one car, so you will need to cancel the old policy before starting the new - and expect an admin fee to do it.
