Driving Licence Renewal

Anybody sent there licence off for renewal? I wondered roughly how long it took.

DVLA have quoted 2 weeks but I leave the UK next saturday

Do it online. Did mine on Sat before Christmas, Came back before new year and you dont have to send the old one off until its back.

Sent old one last Friday by 1st class
Received new one last night.

Incase anybody cares it arrived this morning. 4 Days in total. This was online with the information taken from my passport.

Passport Office take note.
My wife had a bog standard passport renewal knocked back because she said her birthplace was Calcutta and it's now called Kolkata (by no one, even the locals).

It was just change of address but it was the thursday (day before I sent old on back)

I can't complain too much about the passport office either.

I had to go into london last week. Was in the office 7 minutes and collected 4 hours later.
