So, it's Friday night and not much on T.V...

The (possibly Zombie based) Apocalypse has come and you need a car quick. Probably not many armored vehicles around, so ideally something you could get from eBay cheaply. Only you and one significant other have survived, so 2 seaters are optional. What do you buy, and why?!

Toyota Amazon Landcruiser. ( Cheap is relative... £15K isn't that much when your life is at risk )

Anything else.... and you will die. ( There is a reason why they are the vehicle of choice for those venturing in inhospitable territories )

Bowler Wildcat

Edit:

Hold on, if only you and one other person has survived, how are you going to buy it on eBay? laugh

Carina.

Nothing will kill it so it'll go on forever.

No self respecting zombie will attack you, they'll just pity you.

There's been a zombie apocalypse and not only is eBay still going, banks open but sellers are finding time to check their listings.
Get real, you'll be the first to die with that sort of thinking.

Exactly. Something old, 4x4, with no electronics (so you can fix everything yourself without needing electricity or high tech gadgets).

80s jeep, land rover or land cruiser.

I found out the hard way that modern electronics are stupid. the Morgan (not exactly a complex car) was keeping it's lights on after turning it off. Needed a new BMW electronics module. 700 quid plus fitting. Ouch.

All that said, my own (2000s) Defender 90 would be pretty good for the apocalypse. Just fit zombie proof riot grilles to the windows and drive around crushing the undead. Roof rack gives decent high shooting/lookout platform. Silly number of spotlights for night time hunting. Winner.

Not entirely sure why I currently use it as my London car, mind.

I've already got mine, so I'll be happily buzzing around whilst you work out how to get to pick up the car you just won on ebay.
