Hi,

as you can see from the below picture the tip is grazed badly.

I had fitted an aftermarket exhaust on the M, but have decided to put the old one back on. The old one was kept in storage at a mates house. And as you can see the tip is far from pristine.

I am fking livid. I have autosol at my disposal....would this help?

Autosol's good but I don't think it's that good. You may have to use one of those rotary polishing bonnets on the end of a drill to get rid.

Seriously, if that is stainless through and through, you need to sand/polish it off, to get a consistent finish the whole thing will have to be done.

If there is any nickel plating that has come off (can't tell) then no can do.

You'd have to sand it back down and then buff it back up - provided it's not just a nickel coating, in which case yer buggered.

FFS!

I will need to shell out for new tips. Its safe to say I am never trusting anyone with my car again. I told the kent to make sure the exhaust was kept mint.

He just told me had it in the back of his workvan for a few days with all his other crap. shoot

Obviously unprotected

You need to essentially do a type of wet sand down and then polish back up but the metal version.

Livid? 1st world problems much? hehe

Assuming it's stainless:
Couple of sheets of emery, 120, 200, 400
ebay polishing kit to go in lecky drill.
About a half hour's work and she'll be shiny as. Easy peasy.
