It doesn't supply power to the MDI when the car is turned off, so perfectly safe to leave it plugged in all the time.
Agree.I actually use my Passat to charge my iPod nano as I don't have a mains charger! Safe to leave in the whole time.
Let me know if you find a way to browse your albums though. On mine, it will either just loop the album that I was listening to when I connected it, or if I try and navigate via the in-car stereo, it just lists every song in alphabetical order, which is a bit crap.

In the media setting (Extra) I found an option which then was "shuffle" if that is what you mean?I can check again tomorrow if you want. This was on the Sat Nav screen.

Right I had a quick fiddle earlier (ooer) and I can't find the feckin' option!!
I do know that I had to go into the Settings Option though. If you want I will try again tomorrow and take a pic of the screen?
Yes please! The set-up I have is pretty much unusable unless I'm in the mood for a random mix of Gangsta rap, Dubstep and Classical music.I do know that I had to go into the Settings Option though. If you want I will try again tomorrow and take a pic of the screen?
