Michelin Pilot SS vs Eagle F1 asymmetric 2
Discussion
Looking for a pair of front tyres for my Z4M. Currently it has 4 of the aforementioned Goodyears fitted which were on it when I bought the car and the fronts need replacing; rears are fine. I've be en happy with them despite having nothing else to compare to with this car but I've read very good things about the Pilot Super Sport and I'm tempted to plonk them on the front with a view to putting the same on the rears when required. My car has CSL wheels so front size is 235/35/19 and my local tyre place will do the Goodyear for £320 all in and the Michelin for £340 all in.
The car is my daily and is unlikely to be tracked but does do plenty of hard driving around the Peak District. I only do around 5000 miles a year and I reckon there's at least that left on the rear tyres so it could be a year before they get swapped.
Anybody have any opinions on which to go for?

The F1A2s will give you slightly better wet performance, but (from what I've seen reported) slightly less miles out of a set.
What mileage did you get out of your front F1A2s?
I get 20k out of my rear PSSs and 40k out of the fronts. I'm not a particularly hard driver, but do a couple of track days, a couple of 'Ring trips and plenty of Welsh hoons along with my regular motorway commutes between Liverpool and London.

Quick look at Tyreleader shows some good deals on both, e.g. http://www.tyreleader.co.uk/car-tyres/goodyear/eag... - I'd shop around online before committing. Your local place will probably fit tyres you supply.
So £130 quid a tyre plus £15 fitting by a local tyre we're talking £290 all in. I hardly think you can say I'm being ripped off. Personaly I'd rather spend the extra 15 quid per tyre and give my money to a local business I've used since having my first car and who have repaired numerous punctures for free, balanced wheels etc for free when needed because they know I'm a returning customer.
