Ye. I think he is trying to be funny, but just comes across as a passive aggressive knob. Teenage son bumps car whilst new driver, treats old clio with 130k miles like an old clio with 130k miles, likes loud music and generally acts like a teenager. Not exactly a shock.

It's annoying how people are bidding on it just because they think it's funny. banghead

I really hate it when people mess up the spacing around punctuation marks.

Did I read that correctly? Is this car currently selling for £8000?

I would prefer somewhat better spelling and grammar when you are telling a story.

Still, everyone (including the seller, look at the bottom) knows it won't be selling at that price.

That's about 300 yards from my office. I don't think I'll make a trip to view it, mind.

He just sounds to me like a decent chap with a quirky sense of humour.

The auction has been updated to state that all proceeds will go to chairty - top man!

Strictly speaking, no. Ebay bids on cars are not binding. I suspect the car won't be 'selling' to any of the bidders from this point onwards.

He might regret that when he sees his selling fees....

That's just silly - "bids" escalating in no time.

"clearly judging from the bidding it will not be sold for this rather large amount , but that's ok keep bidding for fun" I bet he won't be saying this when he gets the final value fee through!!! rolleyes

The worst thing is that people are sending in questions like "thanks for making my day" and "your son is lucky to have a father like you"... laugh

Clearly judging by his selling history he's a bedroom trader and it's all just a charade.... Might go wrong for him if HMRC have a similar viewpoint

There's no final value fees if the transaction is cancelled after the sale which this obviously will be.
