Have you got a stock of bulbs (lamps?) and are looking to buy a car to fit them...?

Kind of odd though! Can you go to the manufacturer and ask them what vehicles they are intended for?

What colour? My BMW E46 used these. For indicators as far as I recall.

I was careless when ordering some led indicator bulbs, ambers; I actually need the normal BA15 type.

So I have 4x amber leds that need a home.

The offset pin base is used for amber indicator bulbs to prevent standard clear bulbs being fitted. Therefore most cars that are factory fitted with clear indicator lenses will use this style.

I THINK that what I fitted to my BMW bike when I replace the amber lens cover with clear, so had to change the bulb from a clear one.

ISTR filling the offset lug off.

it was years ago, so I could be talking B8llocks....

Except when they're the parking lights on an Alfa 156?
(Offset pin base, smaller clear lamp)

That's a different lamp entirely though, it's much smaller than a BAU15.

The pins are offset for the same purpose though, to prevent interchangeability. In this case the BAX9S base is used for halogen lamps and has offset pins to prevent them being interchanged with the standard non-halogen lamp which uses the BA9S base.
