I've always been a VW fan, but lately for some reason I've been thinking more and more about the MK1 Polo.
I just really want one, preferably an early 'shark nose' model in bone-stock 'N' spec. Totally unmodified and original. In green. Don't even mind if it's a bit tatty...
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Polo_Mk1...

Such a shame that they're virtually extinct these days, and the majority of survivors appear to be in the hands of... 'Those guys', the ones who've been discussed to death already.

What about you lot then, any weird vehicular wants?

I really want another Fiat Seicento.
It may come as a surprise to the PH collective to discover I had one and quite liked it. laugh
A Cinqucento sporting would be the dream run around but there aren't many about in my price range.

A Kia magentis (I think). 4 door saloon. Saw a couple go at auctions for £200-£300 last year with 6> mot on them. Can't go wrong with that surely and they look comfy?!

I've no idea why though to be honest hehe

Reliant rialto in blue. With the mind to keep it looking bone stock and fit a bike engine. Totally in practical wont go round corners probably wouldn't be great in a straight line but i am sure that it would be fun as anything.

Nissan Cube Gen 3.

Keyless entry/start, Bluetooth, Sat Nav, cruise control, reversing camera - well specced for a small car, and fairly practical. Nothing strange about it mechanically, I know the looks are very marmite, it's not going to be as fast or fun as a 500 or MINI to drive, but for some reason I really want one!

They should do a full sized van version. I think it would become a cult classic.

I had a Mk1 Polo. They are fantastic with a nice free revving engine and very nimble.

Hhmm.. a few..

Aston Martin Cygnet - I know, I know, what am I thinking?, etc. The idea of a luxury small car appeals to me, then I look at them, look at the price and realise (again) that it's a folly. Not going to happen, oh no..

Lexus SC430 - reviled by certain factions of the motoring press (I'm looking at you Clarkson) and seemingly with no driver appeal at all, it nevertheless holds a strange fascination - this is an itch I may scratch some day.

Unimog 411 - comically underpowered, slow and now rare and expensive - I have no real use for it but would buy one just to revel in its mechanical workings. Probably not going to happen either.

Confession over.

Damn near anything with a Rover/MG badge manufactured post 1990 with two exceptions - City Rover (obviously) and the 1.4 25 (father had one and even he found it gutless)... I honestly don't know what's wrong with me...

Something tracked (as in caterpillar tracks, not thrashed round Brands!) and a pick up truck

No need for either, although I can just imagine driving the kids I work with in an APC on school trips...

1998 Cadillac STS. That Northstar V8 is supposed to be a great engine and I like the styling.

I quite fancy this: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

I don't have a family! I love the idea that the middle row of chairs faces the wrong way. It's almost like a mobile meeting room. I can imagine sitting there in the car park after picking up food from Tesco and just stuffing a 150g bag of crisps in my face while playing on my phone.

silly
