Hello
Need some advices...
I am in process to make approximate cost for small universal car rent-a-service garage with 3 work spaces. I will speak with my friends which have experience in this business but want to hear more.

1. Lifts
I need 3 asymmetrical two-post lifts + 1 lift for under car washing in open space. Price for two post lift is in range from 1500e-20000e. Why is this big spread in price for same lifting capacity? What type lift to buy, hydraulic or mechanical? Buying lifts most scares me. Many options, many prices, most important tool.

2. Floor
Which paint is the best for painting concrete floor? Must be easy for cleaning, resistant to any oil, acid, dirt...Want clean surface look and if possible to be anti bounce. Is it needed for floor to be little angled so liquids can swell or better to be flat as possible?

3. Toolset
Is it better to buy 3 big toolsets (like this: http://www.vantagetools.co.uk/2754-3838-thickbox/t... or to buy individual small sets, other tools as I need them? Many tools can be share between users do I dont need all tools x3.

4. Diagnostics
I need some universal ecu diagnostic for reading and clearing error codes which will cover as much as possible car types, both obd1 and obd2.

5. Car washing machine
I will have one little space where customer can wash car from underside. I think to buy one in-ground hydraulic lift? Electric and water cant go together. What type miniwash is good for this, maybe with hot water?

6. Air compressor
Which capacity, power or type is ok for 3 working spaces?

7. Tire balancing and wheel changers
Need some entry level setup which will do job, cheap. Nothing no1 in the world.

8. Garage dimension
Which garage height is needed? Plan is minimum 4.5m. Service will have 20x10m, each room 6.5x10m.

many thanks

Half of those questions fall firmly into "If you have to ask, are you sure you're in the right business...?"

Anyway, you've not mentioned the single biggest likely problem area. Liability insurance.
