Whilst hunting through cupboards to find some documents I found an old picture of my first 'sporty' car after passing my test. I was pleasantly surprised as I thought I'd lost any evidence of having it.

Behold, the FIAT Uno Turbo i.e. Antiskid hehe

That picture was taken in about 1995 when the car was coming up for 6 years old and I thought it was the dogs danglies! It was my first turbo charged car with proper lag, surprisingly good performance and an array of dials on the dash including a boost gauge driving The ladies also seemed to like it too hehe

On a serious note I really wish I still had it, there really is very few Mk1 Uno turbos around now. I kept mine standard apart from an Ashley exhaust and lowered it as they sat stupidly high as you can see.

What was your first sporty car that made you feel excited every time you drove it? Bonus points for old pictures!

Renault 5GT Turbo. Had it taken up to 155bhp by BBR. I suspect D514SGP is no more.......

I went to work for a company that gave out company cars when I was quite young, and got an Xr2i. I was thrilled smile

Impreza turbo. Great car, but my man maths hadn't accounted for running costs!

You weren't doing them right then. Man maths can justify anything.

That was a lucky escape.

Mine was either a Ford Cougar or an MX-5, depending on whether the big coupe is considered 'sporty' or not.

C reg black XR2

Still remember to this day the feeling when I picked it up.

Stolen twice, second time they did a proper job and burnt it out.
