Troll or...

How much did you buy it for?

You're better of getting some experience under your belt and then upgrading to a 1.8 Corsa or something else more powerful.

I believe folding the rear seats down helps.

A decrease in OAT is going to have more impact on power than any mods to that 1.0, but as above, fold your rear seats down and buy a cone filter, you'll gain 10 whp.

Or...be sensible, get a year or two's experience with a STANDARD, cheap to insure car (as declaring mods is expensive, and you were going to do that, weren't you?), then get a decent warm hatch like a Fiesta Zetec-S.

No matter what you do to it, due respect, it's a 1.0 Corsa. It will never set the world on fire.

I dropped a LET in my 1.8... what fun it was, until the upper radiator hose blew, head issues ensued and I sold it after a month at monumental loss!

It doesn't need to go any faster, just put some decent tyres on it (not the cheapest ones the garage offers), keep it well serviced and keep the suspension and brakes well maintained.

Find some good roads and go have some fun driving it at 8/10ths.

The engine conversion will certainly make it quicker but will a lad of (presumably) 17 and 1 month's driving experience insure or more importantly, stay alive in it?

Is this thread a wind up?...scratchchin

If not, well done for passing your test.

In answer to our question, take that big exhaust off, which will save weight, in fact, take ALL the exhaust off...it should sound awesome.

Fit some go faster stripes from Halfords for £7.99, and an after market rev counter red lined to 5000rpm, to ensure you don't suffer from valve bounce.

Remember to notify your insurance company of these important modifications, otherwise you may find yourself without cover...

Good luck...thumbup

1.0 Corsa isn't fast and never will be, don't piss your money up the wall trying to make it go faster, put it into a savings account and treat yourself to a better car when you're 19/20.

P.S. Have you declared the exhaust modification to your insurance company?

P.P.S. I acknowledge that this is quite possibly troll.
