Dropped the girlfriend back to uni in Rochester this evening (as i do each Sunday) and the roads are just full of tards.

This evening, got to the street her uni house is on (cars parked on both sides all the way down) and there is room for one car to go down the road. Half way down, two cars have parked, engines/lights off and nobody about. 10mins later as I'm then about to head back to Surrey, they are still there.

After some beeps two guys eventually stroll out (with no urgency) and move. At the end of the road they let me pass, do a u-turn only to go back and park up blocking the road... (while passing and giving them some sort of 'use your brain' gesture they just look blankly as if they have done nothing wrong?!)

Due to the amount of people I see just sat in the middle lane each week I decided to do a count to pass the time (between jct 2 and 6 only).

In those 4 junctions I came across:

63 people sat in the middle / inside lane
6 people sat with full beams on (not including the countless amount in oncoming traffic)
4 people cut me up with no use of indicators
1 black corsa ltd edition (1 of 19,592,761) driving with no lights at all on
1 guy joining the motorway (and proceeding to drive at) 40mph

That's only 4 junctions on the way home, doesn't include the way there or all the dual carriageways into/around Kent.

Bit of an essay...but how can there be some many on the road incapable of basic driving skills?

I live near Rochester, just over the river, and although I can't answer you, I can sympathise. I see such idiocy every single day on my commute.

While I agree there are some utter fkwits driving I always thought "bint" referred specifically to females.

Agreed.

bint (noun)
1. (offensive, slang) a derogatory term for girl, woman

Usage note: This British term is used with disparaging intent and perceived as insulting. It was originally British military slang, later adopted by Allied servicemen during both world wars.

To be fair it's easier to count the number of 'good' drivers. Less stressful as well. smile

Just treat every other driver as if they're a complete idiot and you won't go far wrong; works for me.

but an honourable mention for OCD effort.

Up there with the retard today who, realising his mistake pulling off the roundabout onto the slip of the M621, decided to stop so that he could reverse back onto the roundabout

I may have had something to say when I managed to get around him mad

You don't notice the good drivers because the mark of good drivers is that they don't draw attention to themselves by impeding you.

What is your definition of "inside lane" in this context?

Fully aware of the meaning. However doesn't mean it can't be used.

Retard is used commonly enough, doesn't necessarily me that person is.

Inside lane / right hand lane / overtaking lane / lane furthest to the right - whatever you wish to call it.

If you mean the one closest to the centre, only Americans call that the inside -

Fair enough.

I get your OP though, people generally drive like idiots.

And the one who goes to university in Rochester is the clever one, I presume.

You might need to read my original post again. It isn't me who goes there...I was dropping my girlfriend back who is studying at the school of pharmacy. But seeing as you mentioned it...yes she is pretty clever. Its a long and not exactly easy degree.
