I need to hire a car for at least three months. Has anyone done this before at sensible money for a decent set of wheels?

If it makes any difference, I could put it thought the business - I'd not get the VAT back though.

ETA: I know I can just call one of the big names, but didn't know if better options were available!

When you consider that to Lease a new one with a mileage limit you'd still be likely paying >£300 over a few years thats very reasonable!

Northgate come in at >£500pm even for a Fiesta or Caddy van.

Autohorn. Sounds like a seedy car fetish website.

I rented a Ford Focus from Hertz for 24 days at a rate of Au$26 per day or around 14 pounds per day.

I booked it through OPODO website not Hertz and was around 50% cheaper!
