Been raised in the past, but now they've become more prolific, worth resurecting. Now, I've been a 'user' of the Heathrow section since it's inaugaration, I'm not convinced. To often the speed displayed doesn't match the road conditions, and the drivers speed doesn't match the signs. Also, the traffic velocity and density can vary almost minute by minute, which the speed signs just can't catch up with, just not fexible enough. And of course, new cameras now monitor these installations. And I've seen the speed signs 'forgotten' and left on right through the night till early morning.

Total bcensoreds - I use 2 junctions of the M3 to get to the M25 at least once a week and it is being turned into a managed stretch.
So for a few months it has had a 50 average limit and the signs said it will do until December 2016!!! But now the signs seem to have disappeared??
Who is doing the work, one fella with a shovel and a hernia?mad
They will probably end up putting in speed bumps and cameras and give it a 20 limit - witless fcensoredg morons.redcard
Any tips on getting a car with Romanian/Hungarian, etc. plates gratefully received. Otherwise I suppose a stolen one would do!evil

Fairly sure the M3 is being changed so the hard shoulder can be used during peak times and the 50 limit is due to the air quality along that stretch not meeting EU targets, so they've stated once air quality is back to what it needs to be they'll re-instate the NSL..... rofl

Arent the sensors caught out by multi-wheeled vehicles, causing the system to mistakenly think that there is congestion when the carriageways may even be clear?
