An unfortunate argument between my nearside rear tyre and an errant screw (tyre lost) meant a replacement was needed this morning.

I've had Hankook Ventus V12s fitted all-round and been very pleased with them. My tyre place said that the V12 has a 'new tread pattern' but actually has been replaced with the S1 Evo2 which seems like an entirely different model in the line up. Aside from my horrendous OCD regarding the different tread pattern, is there likely to be any real, noticeable difference between the two?

I usually replace in pairs and don't like mixing across an axle but there's a good few thousand miles left in the offside rear so couldn't really justify junking it early.

Had I known it was an entirely different model I might've sourced a V12 online and gotten that fitted instead...

yout tyre place is wrong - the s1 evo2 (K117) funnily enough, replaced the s1 evo (K107) the Ventus V12 Evo (K110) has been replaced by, again brilliantly named, Ventus V12 Evo2 (K120).

tyreleader sells them here:
