Anybody know whether Land Rover dealers are offering discounts on new model Range Rovers? Thinking about a 4.4 Vogue. Thanks.

You may get a deal on one that's just rolled off a ship if you're lucky.

Isn't there a long waiting list? Can't think for the life of me why they might offer discounts.

No discounts. Used ones are going for list!

My dads (Sport) is nearly a year old, will probably order a new one for March next year.

I've just been invited to a "VIP sales event" whatever that might be. They are offering discounts, according to the invitation.

I've made enquiries via our asset finance people about a 4.4 Vogue and they are saying they can get me a car for May / June to spec. Which suggests no waiting list to speak of.

Look in PH classifieds and there are dealers offering build slots, with changeable spec. at a discount.

In light of all that, my assumption is that firstly there is no waiting list and secondly there are discounts to be had.

Not encouraging then! I paid full list for my last one in July '13 - seems they have a product that sells itself at full price every time - the perfect business model!!

I got 3% a year ago without much effort from a certain main dealer in Chester.

See what deals the brokers have on and start talks from there?

We've regularly been getting 2% on vehicles to our customers own spec.

What margin does a dealer have in a LR product (in general terms)?
