I found a mention of tyretest.com in this link: http://tinyurl.com/keyalrp

Dave Gibson mentions that tyretest.com has ratings for the snow performance of SUMMER tyres, but I can’t seem to find those ratings on that site. Maybe it’s an old message thread, and tyretest.com has changed since, and no longer shows those ratings. Anyone know if those ratings are still on tyretest.com, and if so, where?

It does appear it has changed. I do recall seeing "Grip in Snow" being listed among the stars on each review. It was sometimes not completed for summer tyres and, as you will note at the bottom of the page, has (and always had) a zero weighting for summer tyres. It was quite useful as an indication of which tyres would fare better in snow.

Shame it's gone.

Zero weighting? Was it a compulsory field? I wonder if those that had no experience of snow use with their tyres, were forced to make up a rating (if the field was compulsory), therefore tirestest.com got rid, because the scores were mostly made up?

Yes, it's a shame it's gone, but using the Way Back Machine I've managed to retreave snow scores for nearly all the tyres I was interested in. The rating for Michelin Pilot Sport 3's from Nov 16th 2011: http://web.archive.org/web/20111116021125/http://w...

No matter what date I try, I can't find archived scores for Uniroyal Rainsport 3's.
